The
“Brinquinho”, introduced into Madeira, is a musical
instrument which sets the tempo for the folklore by means
of vertical movements which mark the rhythm.
This instrument is characterised by seven little
dolls in traditional regional costume with castanets and a
wooden rod at the end which are arranged in two circles,
one with three and the other with four little dolls. |
